Mrs. Rule and Mrs. Schipper's 3rd grade class went to Grand JiVante Thursday to provide the residents with Singing Valentines. The kids sang 6 songs for them that they prepared in music class and then handed out valentines they made in their classrooms. They also got a chance to talk with the residents for a little bit. The residents surprised the kids and made them valentines too. We were excited to serve our community and share some Valentine's Day cheer.
Effective Monday, February 19, 2024: IHHS no longer recommends students stay home from school/daycare for 5 days when diagnosed with COVID-19. Please review the image for the new recommendations. If your child is ill for an extended period of time, for any reason, a provider's note is requested.
Day 3 of State Wrestling starts tonight at 6. Abbas will take on Nate Wood of North Cedar and Heitland will face Kyler Sallis of Don Bosco. Good luck!

Abbas won by decision, Heitland lost by decision. Both will wrestle in tomorrow night's session starting at 6.
State Wrestling starts tomorrow! Claire Diamond will be singing the national anthem ahead of the morning session at 9 AM. Kaden Abbas and Aiden Heitland will be wrestling in the evening session beginning at 6 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the arena or at www.iahsaa.org
Congratulations to Claire Diamondwho represented AGWSR beautifully Wednesday morning by singing the National Anthem at the first session of the boys state wrestling tournament. She did an incredible job as always. Congratulations Claire.
The third graders have been busy but took time to join the Florida Watermelons Farm Chat today. Thank you North Central Iowa Ag in the Classroom!

The kindergarteners enjoyed reviewing their sight words with a thrilling classroom "snowball fight" on Friday!
On Sat. members of the HS Performing Arts went to see the musical Come From Away. The students had an awesome time seeing this outstanding show and, for many of them, seeing their first professional live theater. They enjoyed the music, acting, and a funny and touching story.

WAC 2nd grade enjoyed a second visit from Allison Swenson learning about soybeans for a second Ag in the Classroom lesson this morning. This afternoon they enjoyed popcorn and movie that a student bought with their paw points.
